We had the pleasure again this year to participate in the "Chemo Kids Fish Off". This is hosted by the Coastal Bend Guides Association annually. This year, 37 kids from Driscol Children's Hospital, were able to come out and fish for a morning with volunteer Guides from the CBGA. On our boat we were honored to have back Javier for the second year and Carlos for the third year in a row. Both Carlos and Javier caught some good trout and logged Second Place overall in weight. The only thing we were missing was a redfish or two and they would have taken First. Without any redfish, Capt Bryson Becker, our Co-Captain this day, and I decided to let the guys try their hand a battling a couple of Jack Crevalle. Both Javier and Carlos were "HOOKED-UP" but after a 10 minute fight and then a 45 minute fight, each fish broke off. Both of these fish were over 30 lbs easy! These are great guys and some pretty darn good fishermen. Gentlemen, it is and always will be our honor to fish you anytime!
